Fruit-Tastic Vintage Jewelry!

Colorful Fruits and Veggies were common themes in early Bakelite jewelry designs.    These whimsical jewelry pieces are so fun!

The Bakelite designs definitely influenced the rockabilly period of Americana beginning the 1950's.   Those funky fruits are everywhere you look in the period - on pin-up girls, posters, cheap imitation jewelry, fabrics, and fashion! 

I love the happy vibe of these designs - they feel so fresh & new .... even in 2014!
