Pantone named 2014 the year of Radiant Orchid. Radiant Orchid is a fantastic color that mixes well with gold, brass, and gunmetal shades of metal. This shade is bold and can be used sparingly or it can be the centerpoint of your jewelry piece. Michael Kors uses the shade as the centerpiece for his new watch designs. Kate Spade uses the color to highlight different sizes of flowers in her statement necklaces that she mixes with gold metals.
The designs below show how versatile the color is when used in jewelry design. The first example below by
Emma Stine uses texture and gradiant color to highlight shades of the color in her design.
The geometric shapes are a hot design element in 2014.
